A DREAM COME TRUE
Next to my exciting wedding preparations, there is a lot going on here.
More often than not, I try to plan my life and coordinate big projects, hoping that they won't come all at the same time, but than life follows it own rhythm. As I wrote in my last blog, there are low tides and high tides. Now is high tide! So here are some news of my life as an artist.
Galery Anderz in Reeuwijk, The Netherlands, which represents some of my artwork, holds an exhibition about bees starting this weekend: www.galeriewinkelanderz.nl/agenda/
As an artist, I was asked to make a painting that is inspired by nature and if possible having a bee on it.
I never painted a bee before and I love the new terretory.
Here is the progress of the painting
And a big shoutout and thank you to my dear creative friend Steffi, who supported me with her great feedback on this painting!
Psssst....A dream come true
And last but surely not least, I have more news that really, really excites me. I still can't believe it but I got a great assignment: I will illustrate a childrens book by the famous Surinamese author Cynthia McLeod. What an honor! I'm dreaming about illustrating a book since years, but never took action to get a deal and now this opportunity comes on my path. I am very grateful.
Details will follow, I'll keep you posted on this one for sure.
The book will be in the book stores by October this year.
That's it for now.
Big hug and kisses. Keep rocking your life!
Niet te geloven hoe dingen soms lopen. Super toffe dingen in het vooruitzicht zeg!!! Echt gaaf. Voor het kinderboek vind ik super tof. Kan niet wachten tot ik het eerste boek in handen mag houden. Xxx

On this blog I share the tiny steps it takes to realise a dream and to document the journey for myself. Maybe it is inspiring for you- I would love that and it is the reason why I share it with you.
